Go to a paper store (seriously there around) and generally they have an entire isle of boxed invitations. You can type whatever you want them to say with Word and then print right on them, you can print on the envolopes too if you want. They have really nice ones, and you'll save a ton of money, for half a days worth of work. Get a bunch of your friends, sit aroud the tabled with them, and stuff the envolopes with the invitaion, make a party out of it, or just make you family do it, thats what my wife did, it saved her dad hundreds of dollars. |

Costco.com They have great prices, but you have to be a member. Another way to cut down costs is to print them yourself. You can purchase a calligraphy pen and do the inner envelopes yourself too - it's a nice touch. |

Do like my friend did: Go to Wal Mart, but blank wedding invites for like $25, and have a friend with a printer make them for you. I did that for my friend, the invites came with instructions to make them and website, so it was easy. They turned out beautiful , and she loves them!! |

My friends made their own. They looked at invitations they liked and got a group together and had an invitation making party. :) |

Print them on your computer printer - design them yourself - but find the price first - as I do not think they would cost over $100.00... as they are one of the smaller ticket items. I would save money by having a cash bar after the dinner - give all the guests a few tickets - but they get sloshed out of their own wallets. |

I'm planning a wedding as well. For my invitations I did them myself. I went to Target and bought an Invitation Kit (50 per box). I chose a real nice font and printed them from my computer. I then went to Michaels Craft store and bought frost paper to put on top each invitation, which I then tied with ribbons (they can be in your wedding colors) that I also bought at Michaels. Many of my guests have told me that the invitations look real professional! As an added touch I sealed each invitation with hot wax and stamped it with an image of my family crest. But Michaels has wax stamps with letters that you can get cheap. Hope this helps |

Go to exclusivelyweddings.com or exclusiveweddings.com, i don't know if it is "ly " at the end of exclusive. But anyway, i ordered mine there and they were beautiful, with shipping and other taxes the price came to be around $300.00. Plus you can order other things such as favors, napkins, bridal party gifts etc. (Most are inexpensive, but some things are a little pricy) There is something for every bride. |

Go to office depot and get the invites and the thank you cards and the programs and do them yourself. trust me i am doing my own because i have about 100 going out. you might also try to narrow your list down to just the people you both are closest to. i started out with about 200 and that was with me inviting my granparents friends and their friends friends and so forth. then my mom told me i did not have to feel obligated to invite everyone that i knew and that our families knew. and now i am down to about 100 |

I bought the boxed ones from Target. Office Max also has them. I wrote out what to say & my fiance set it up on the computor complete with a photo of us! It saved TONS of money, gave my fiance something to contribute, and was a one-of-a-kind. You can choose whatever color lettering you want, and there are several styles that will compliment whatever your wedding theme may be. |

Making your own is great. i did this for my wedding which seems like a lot of work but it was a great way for all the bridesmaides to get together and we had a blast. Just go out there and look for ideas adn copy them. Go to a stationary store for paper and then go to like Kinko's or a place that you can print in bulk for a good price. Good luck!!!!!!! |
