Try 123print.com My 200+ invitations and response cards only came out to about $100-150. I ordered samples and surprisingly they turned out nice and with the thicker paper turned out great! VERY surprised, BTW. I've been looking around at different sites/ catalogs and have ordered a lot of samples and the ones that I really wanted were about 8x as much as the 123print and the quality was nearly as good.

Whats cheaper is going to target or walmart, buying their kits and printing some up yourself

Why not use VistaPrint to make some customized invites. It's cheap and you can add your own design.

I bought mine through the Photographer and got a discount for going though him with my wedding package. Check with your vendors if any of them are distributors and can get you a discount! Also, Michael's and places like Target offer wedding invitations you can make easily. Check out those places. If you sign up for Michaels online newsletter, they will send you a 50% off coupon (either for 1 item or a whole purchase, I'm not sure which).

Jo Ann Fabrics, A.C. Moore and Michael's have wedding invitation stationary formatted for printing whatever you wish to say on your invitations. And, the price, well, the price is unbelievable affordable. If you do not have a printer or have no clue on how to print your invitations, I am sure there is someone you know who would be happy to do this. When asking for this favor, ask for it as a gift. This is not time to be shy. People are always willing to step up and help out in a time of need, whether it is a happy occasion such as a wedding or not. I

Hallmark Smilebox does e-invites for free or $3.00 for the rights to use the card at any time without advertisements. We did ours that way and loved it!

I deeply care about quality as well as frugality. I have seen a few invitations that were very inexpensive from Walmart. Honestly, they LOOK CHEAP. I opted for purchasing a couple of invitation kits from Staples.com and printing them on my home computer. The kits appeared to be of very high quality and were still inexpensive (I paid $32.99 for a package of 50 invitations and response cards complete with envelopes and had them shipped to my local store for free). Printing these invitations took a lot of time. On top of that my printer decided to eat some of the invitations so I ended up purchasing an extra box!!! It was not good. After my wedding, I became aware of 123print.com. This website is about as cost effective as my kits from Staples.com. The only difference is that it saves you the time and frustration of doing it yourself, by printing the invitations for you for almost the same price! However, I would suggest ordering a sample invitation from them before choosing any sort of invitation because I have no idea about the quality of them. You can order samples for free. If the quality from 123print.com is as good as it seems, then it is probably the best deal you are going to find. It will also save you the time and frustration of printing at home.
