Engagement Party Make Your Own

Question: What do you think of my engagement party dress?

I finally found my dress!!!! Its pictured in white but im going have it made in another colour. The party is cocktail attire and i think the dress fits that theme well! Im 21 so i wanted something fun and youthful! Short skirt + strapless. Sorry, but I think its a little on the slutty side. It is definitely meant for a young person, but not in a good way. I think youll regret it when you see the pictures later.

I think it's a beautiful dress and if you love it you should get it. However I don't think you need to seek our approval to get the dress you want.

It's a cute dress.... ...but I personally tend to lean more towards the conservative side when it comes to cocktail attire...so in this case, I agree with frizzy. It's too strapless and short for my tastes. And in all honesty, it looks like something a 16 year old would want to wear to a school formal. It's not completely appropriate for an engagement cocktail party. But it is fun and youthful, which is what you wanted. My suggestion is to keep it simple, keep it classy.

Personally, I don't care for it...I do agree with a couple of the others. It's a bit "sleezy " looking for an engagement party and I do think it looks like something a young teen would wear & also something f/ the '80's f/ Madonna's closet. However, on the other hand, it IS your party and it is totally up to you! So, if you like it and think it works, have fun. :)

I agree with what the others are saying. You should pick ONE thing to show off whether that be your legs, back, cleavage...but definitely not all of them at once. When you do that, it brings more of a (I hate this term but, ) slutty feel to it. You aren't going to a club to pick up guys, you are having your engagement party. This is your time to make an impression and show off your personality, not your body. Pick a dress with one of those revealing factors. It is WAY sexier and will make you more memorable. The dress also seems VERY young. If it has straps, I would think it would make a great Easter dress for a little girl. I don't care for the skirt at all. I know and understand you want something youthful, but you also want to look old enough to get married. I think you should find something a bit more classic than this particular dress. I'm sorry if I'm brutally honest, but you asked...
