Engagement Party Make Your Own

Question: How much money should i give for an engagement party?

It is a brunch at a country club in NY for my brother in laws brother and girlfiend. What do you think?

An engagement party is not a gift giving occasion so there is nothing you "should " give. Frankly I would feel odd giving or receiving money at an engagement party. Usually I will give a nice bottle of wine.

Depends. do you know them well? your brother in laws brother?? So its your wifes brother? Also depends on if you're rich . I mean if you are amongst the Kennedys or Trumps you'll be giving more than I would. I make 55k and I'd probably give $50 because I'm cheap plus I hardly know my brother in laws brother.
