Question: My bf asked me to go to his ex gf's friend's engagement party. should i go?

My boyfriend and his ex broke up 3 years ago.They don't talk anymore and her friends don't talk to him either. For some reason, he was invited to go to her best friend's engagement party, which is in 2 weeks. He invited me to go, but I don't feelcomfortable because his ex girlfriend hates me. The last time I saw her (at one of my boyfriend's friend's parties), she was acting like an insane b!tch. She glared at me from across the room like she wanted me dead, then she kept bumping into me and when I tried to socialize with people, she kept interrupting and stepping in front of me to talk to the people I was trying to talk to. I have no idea why she doesn't like me. It's not like I stole her boyfriend from her...I met him 3 years after she dumped him.She is 28 and she needs to grow up in my opinion! So if I go to this party, I know that I'll feel like crap and nobody is going to talk to me or my boyfriend. And if I don't go to this party, he says he will go without me. I think it would be crappy for my boyfriend to hang out with his ex and her friends without me there. And it hurts to know that he is still in love with his ex, even though she dumped him for playing World of Warcraft. He has a closetful of things that she gave him like (bad and sexual/ tacky)paintings and love letter that he won't throw away. I don't know...if I go I'm going to be miserable and if I don'tgo, he might try to talk to her at the party and get back together with her. What should I do? =( |
