Is it ok to make my own invitations?
I decided to try to make my own wedding invitations because I just can't bring myself to pay hundreds of dollars for what is basically paper. I mean I figured the whole point of an invitation is just to get the word on time and stuff and kind of set the tone . So I bought very nice quality textured paper, found a good font and the perfect color ink to match my wedding and printed them out. I think they look good. Then I started reading way too many bridal magazines and now Im worried that it's " not appropriate" to make your own invitations. Would you think an invitation that wasn't engraved or letterpress or calligraphy was cheap and stupid?

How do I make my own invitations?
Which program do I need? Do I do them using word under a special setting? Any recommendations on suppliers of creative stationery?Oh sorry, I forgot to say that I'm in the UK

I really want to make my own invitations?
I think it will be more personal to make my own. My wedding is going to be pretty small so it wont be a huge task. I was just wondering if you noticed that someones invitations were home made on the computer probably with a program would you think that it was cheap, or would you appreciate that it took my own individual time to create them? It will probably be obvious that I didn't purchase them. Thanks for your responses

Thinking of making my own invitations, need ideas?
I finally found the place where I'll be having my reception and in trying to save money, I thought I could make my own invitations. My colors are going to be Navy or Marine , white, and silver. I am not a very creative person so any ideas on how I can do the invitations and what types of supplies I'll need? I'm sure Hobby Lobby is going to be a great place to look for stuff. Thanks

I'm making my own invitations. Where can I find the RSVP cards already made or a way to do them myself?
I couldn't find invitations I liked, so I decided to make them myself. They are a half sheet of paper i used a silver cardstock with a piece of paper overtop the see through kind the name of it has escaped me and I added snowflake cut outs and a ribbon to the top. Where can I find a template to make the rsvp cards or find them for a reasonable price online? Also, does it really matter if they don't match the invitations...I was thinking of just doing them on a plain white piece of cardstock.
