Cute Idea! I made my own as well. It was a lot of work, but we really did save a lot of money. Very cute idea!!!!

Yea its cute. to keep the doors closed why don't you tie the whole invitation with a ribbon, or perforate 1 small hole in each door and have a ribbon pass through it and tie it in a cut bow.

I ordered mine. I priced it out between the style invites I wanted vs. making them myself and between the printer ink, the 2 different colored card stock for each invite and the ribbon then also the 3 insert cards we have and both decent quality envelopes (inner and outer) also the return envelope it would have been MUCH more for me to make them. I got 50 invites pre-printed (in the nice raised printing) with very pretty pre cut ribbon and pre hole punched card stock invites and the 2 printed inserts with return envelope and inner and outer envelope all for $250 inc. tax and shipping. So for me not a bad deal. I think your idea is cute. We had ours the same theme as our overall wedding which is hints of paisley throughout. Good luck and really check to make sure it is worth the time, like if your only gonna save $30 more or custom/ predone it may be worth it to you. I know it was to me!

I also just made my own invites but I bought the pre made sheets, designed and printed them off it took a lot of time but it was worth it. Too keep your doors shut you can use ribbon.
