Who has the control over wedding invitations?
I'm getting married in November. My MIL is not going to contribute monetarily for the wedding.The reception accommodates 125 people and her guest list is almost half of the reception capacity 65people And I don't even know them. They see those people hardly once a year.Should I cut his guest list so I can accommodate more people in my family? Whom I see at least weekly? My family does a lot a parties I like the idea of giving her a limit of guests as one person said 5 couples or 10 people which might not be already on the official guest list

i use them for my business cards and i have been very happy with their service. im looking to cut cost on wedding invitations because although pretty... let's face it, most people leave them on a desk or icebox until they throw them away. i just don't see paying several hundreds of dollars for them. but i also don't want them to look cheap... has anyone used them for invites?to donna c i really like the damask invitations, those, with the envelopes and linen paper are STILL hundreds cheaper than my next cost effective choice from davids bridal. i think i am going to order the smallest package of 10 for $10.00. if i hate them, i have only lost ten dollars and if i like them, they will not go to waste.THANKS to all those who responded so far
