Wedding Invitations Make Your Own

Question: Ideas for wedding invitations?

I'm quite crafty so I'm making my own invitations, there'll only be about 30ish to send out but I am completely stuck for ideas. We are having a typically english garden tea party style wedding, I don't want them too girly since it's not only my wedding and not too twee either but for some reason I can't think of what to do. Please help! I am English born and bred and living in England and I'm not sure why it seems to be news to you but in the south west we do have a lot of garden weddings, plus the actual ceremony is taking place inside.

You could do the shape of a tea cup with ribbon tied somewhere on it. Or you could do a simple rectangle in white or cream with writing in your wedding colors and a ribbon on top. English garden tea parties rarely happen. Sorry to kill that for all Americans, but it doesn't. And we don't all play golf, and speak like the queen. :') But still, it's a cute authentic theme, I never would've thought of that! When I first saw it, the invitation I imagined was cream coloured with a green ribbon along the right side with some brown/ purply coloured ruffled ribbon by it. :) All the best xxx
