Question: Wedding invitation prices?
(Posted by: Kelley on 2010-02-07 13:20:00)
I am getting married this summer and was wondering what an appropriate and reasonable price would be for wedding invitations. We don't have a huge budget so if you have any alternate ideas, those would be great as well! |

You can get some nice ones at 123print.com and vistaprint.com. You can get a lot for a great price. |

If you're working on a limited budget look into on-line invitations. They're usually less expensive but the paper is usually lower quality or lighter-weight. Also, if you're thinking of having tuxes for the men in your wedding party, check with local tux shops to see if they have any discount packages available for invitations when a certain number of tuxes are rented. Carlson Craft also recently came out with a line of budget-friendly invitations for brides; worth looking into at your local stationery store that carries Carlson Craft invitations. If you want to print your own on your home computer, check out ideaart.com or paperdirect.com where you can order blanks and print them yourself. |

My friend went through Yours Truly Invites and her invitations were incredible and completely custom to her event. Yours Truly doesnt print the invites and send them to you, they simply design them and you print them at home. I think they charged her $40 for the PDF, then she printed the invitations out at home (though you could take them to a professional print shop if you wanted). All together, it cost her $80 for about 100 invitations (including the cost of the PDF). Going through them was considerably less than any other invitation website and she got stationary completely custom to her event. They have a bunch of pre-made invitations for you to choose from or you can work with them to design your own. They also offer enclosure cards, menus, programs, table numbers, place cards, etc to match your invitations. I currently have an order in to them for a baby shower that I am throwing and so far the stationary is incredible. I would totally recommend them to anyone. Side note- Their site is currently under construction. If you email them from the site they will send you samples. Trust me, you wont be disappointed. |

I just found very cute invitation packages at Target for about 40$. They give you all the materials for about 50 invitations and you just have to print them from your home computer. You can also look for people that make invitations on Ebay (which is where I am getting mine from) or you can look to make your own and print them on Vistaprint.com there are lots of ways to get chpea invitations so dont pay an arm and a leg for them! good luck! |

We didn't have a huge budget either so we decided to make our own invites. They look amazing and like they could have come from a store. We went to a scrapbook store called Archiver's and bought a 5x7 colored card that matches our wedding colors and we got an ivory overlay that has our information printed on it. We have 170 guests that we are inviting and it is only costing us about $100 for everything that is going into the invite. |
