When doing wedding invitations is necessary to have the street address of the venue?

Question: When doing wedding invitations is necessary to have the street address of the venue?

(Posted by: ppv-hero on 2010-02-21 22:24:33)

I have the ceremony & reception on the invitation so I just put the venue name with city & state, no street address. Can this be included on a map separately?

Do you want your guests to come? or are you just letting them know? you cant assume everyone is going to google map it and find it, so yes include the exact address with the state, city, venue name and numbered address. I had the written invitation state the venue name (church and golf course by name) and then on a seperate smaller card, I have the "information " this included the exact address to BOTH locations

It doesn't need to be on the invite but should be on the directions along with a phone number in case they get lost. Make sure they have - directions to the ceremony - directions from the ceremony to the reception - directions to the reception only

I think it would look better if u put it separately on a map. U can do what ever u want... its your wedding!!

For those who won't know where it is, i think it's a good idea to put it on there, so that way if they are using a street map they will be able to locate it still. :) and yes you can include a map with the invites.

I agree that you can do what you want it is your wedding. As long as your guests receive there info on where it is they will be fine.
