Question: When to send wedding invitations?

Our wedding is on August 13th . I just ordered our invitations and it's gonna be ready by beginning of June. Is mid June too late for sending the invites? we have many out of town guests

I would send them as soon as you get them. Everything I have read says send them at 8 weeks to 2 months ahead...although I though 8 weeks and 2 months were the same thing. Did you send out save the dates? That will help with out of towners. If not, I'd send the invites ASAP. I sent mine at 10 weeks because we want a short engagement so we didn't send out save the dates, and we had lots of out of towners (well over half the guest list) and it is a holiday weekend. No, that is not too late at all! Invitations should be mailed (or arrive to the guest's address) 8 weeks prior to the wedding. Any earlier than 8 weeks....well, people will push it aside because it's soooo early! So, mail them the week of June 14, so that your guests will have them by June 18 (8 weeks prior to the wedding.) Are your out of town guests aware of your upcoming wedding? I might give them a call to make sure they know the date. Invitations should be mailed 6-8 weeks before the wedding date. You should be fine if you send them as soon as you get them.
