The wedding rehearsal can be given wherever you want, and can be formal, or inexpensive, as you wish. It can be done at home, in a rented room, or at a restaurant. So the rehearsal dinner might be on the 30th? for an at home, I would do things that could be fixed in advance, and got out and warmed up, or tossed into bowls at the last minute. Lasagna, salad, taco bar [have the hamburger fried, seasoned, and in a baggie in the refrig]. You can play wedding related games, like bride and groom trivia, how much do you really know about them? Or bridesmaid/ groomsman trivia, like which groomsman graduated from Harvard 2nd in his class? How about a fondue dinner, serve cheesy dips and dessert type fondues. Think ski lodge food. Or serve hearty appetizers, meat balls in sauce, pizza bites. Top the meal with some fancy, as the Neeley's from Food Network would say, adult hot chocolate. Mocha, or add some Kahlua or serve Irish coffee. |
