Question: Basic wedding tips for beginers?

I want to be a wedding palnner someday any basic tips? not where to become a wedding planner just basic tips like get candid shots because otherwise you get all stiff posed pictures or over 50 no cocktail dresses

The best planning ideas I ever got was working at weddings. My fiance and I own a bartending company and we do weddings contantly, and the many, many events I've been to have really opened my eyes to what's out there and what would work best for certain types of people. I would check out other weddings, either in person, reading people's blogs about their weddings, reading bridal magazines, and talking to other wedding planners. Most areas have wedding planners' associations you can learn about and/ or visit.

Look at taking a course or program nearby that teaches you some of the basics in wedding planning. You might even be able to become an assistant & see what a day would entail from beginning to end. Also look at some books; either visit your library and borrow or purchase them at a bookstore like Borders or Chapters. Good luck.
